Our Founder
As a physiotherapist, I’ve treated countless patients with foot pain, bunions, knee, back, and posture issues. People traveled from all over because my treatments were highly effective — from Olympic and world champions to patients aged 4 to 94.
I soon realized that overall structural health depends heavily on the feet. Even when function was restored, results often faded depending on the shoes people wore. Modern shoes — narrow, stiff, and poorly designed — were undermining my work, especially for foot-related issues and bunions.
Living in cold Sweden, walking barefoot year-round wasn’t an option. Yet, I couldn’t find a single shoe worth recommending. Most were either too cushioned and narrow or too thin and minimal, and few looked stylish enough for everyday wear.
That’s what inspired Nova — sneakers that respect your feet’s natural design and look good.
