Who is behind Wyde?
DEVELOPED BY LEADING PHYSIOTHERAPIST
After years of working with some of the world’s top athletes, Rasmus Svärd grew frustrated by the lack of footwear that truly respected the body’s natural anatomy and function. Determined to change this, he and his brother Melker embarked on a multi-year journey to create the perfect sneaker.
“When people lace up their Wydes for the first time, the reaction is often the same: ‘Wow, this is how a shoe should feel,’” says Rasmus.

We craft functional footwear that respects human anatomy and foot function while meeting the demands of modern life. Each of our shoes features a wide, foot-shaped toe box for optimal big-toe alignment, zero drop, and zero toe spring. We also design our shoes to allow unrestricted toe bending, ensuring natural movement.
These design principles are at the heart of our commitment to foot health, and we never compromise on them.
At Wyde, local production and the use of sustainable, non-toxic materials with minimal plastic are core to our values. Handmade in Portugal, our shoes are free from PFCs, AZO colors, and heavy metals, fully compliant with EU regulations such as REACH and CADS norms.
We offer multiple ways to help you find your ideal fit. You can use our digital sizing tool, "Get Your Best Fit," on each product page or measure manually with a measuring tape.
When measuring yourself, note that the measurements provided reflect the insole size. We recommend leaving 0.3-1.0 cm of space in front of your toes, depending on your comfort preference.
