Wyde Footwear Sizing, Size Exchanges and Returns Explained

Wyde Footwear Sizing, Size Exchanges and Returns Explained

Wyde Footwear sells unisex shoes in full EU sizes 36 to 47, and you choose your size by foot length only. If the size turns out wrong, you have 30 days from delivery to register an exchange or a return in Wyde's returns portal. All policies below are as of October 2026.

How do you find your Wyde size?

Measure the length of your foot and compare it with the foot length range in Wyde's size guide. Width does not change your size, because the wide, foot-shaped toe box is standard on every Wyde model.

How do you measure your feet?

  • Stand upright with your full weight on the foot you are measuring.
  • Measure from the back of your heel to the tip of your longest toe, in a straight line.
  • Measure both feet.
  • Compare the length in centimetres with the foot length range in the chart below.
  • If one foot is longer, choose the size that fits the larger foot.

The chart below combines Wyde's size guide with the UK and US conversions shown on its product pages. Foot length and insole width are in centimetres.

Which size matches your foot length?

EU size UK size US men US women Foot length (cm) Insole width (cm)
36 3.5 4 5.5 21.9 to 22.6 10.0
37 4.5 5 6.5 22.6 to 23.2 10.2
38 5 5.5 7 23.2 to 23.9 10.4
39 6 6.5 8 23.9 to 24.6 10.6
40 6.5 7 8.5 24.6 to 25.2 10.8
41 7 8 9.5 25.2 to 25.9 11.0
42 7.5 8.5 10 25.9 to 26.6 11.2
43 8.5 9.5 11 26.6 to 27.2 11.4
44 9 10 11.5 27.2 to 27.9 11.6
45 10 11 12.5 27.9 to 28.5 11.8
46 11 12 13.5 28.5 to 29.2 12.0
47 12 13 14.5 29.2 to 29.8 12.2

Wyde explains that the measurements in its chart reflect the insole size. It recommends leaving 0.3 to 1.0 cm of space in front of your toes, depending on your comfort preference.

You do not have to measure by hand. Each product page has a digital sizing tool called "Get Your Best Fit". Wyde says the digital tool works for most customers, and the manual size guide is there if you prefer a tape measure.

Do you need to size up for wide feet?

No. Wyde's product FAQ says: "All Wyde shoes are designed with a wide, foot-shaped toe box as standard. You do not need to size up for width. Choose your size based on foot length only."

The insole width column in the chart shows how wide each size is. In EU 42, for example, the insole is 11.2 cm wide. If you want to compare Wyde with a shoe you already own, take the insole out of that shoe and measure it at its widest point.

What if you are between sizes or normally wear a half size?

Size up. Wyde sells full EU sizes only, with no half sizes, and recommends the larger size if you are between two sizes or normally wear a half size.

Wyde's FAQ adds that "the wide toe box accommodates slight size differences better than conventional shoes." If you are still unsure, ask Wyde's support team before you order.

Which Wyde models size differently?

Maia and Maia Strap do. If you wear any Wyde sneaker, choose one size down for Maia and Maia Strap.

Maia and Maia Strap are sandals. Nova and Soma are sneakers, Nilo is a slip-on, and Chelsea and Norra are boots. For the sneakers, the slip-on and the boots, use the size that matches your foot length in the chart.

If you are choosing between models, Wyde Shoe Prices: What Each Model Costs and What You Get lists what each model costs, and Stylish Wide Toe Box Shoes: How to Wear Wyde Footwear covers how to wear them.

Can you use your own orthotics in Wyde shoes?

Yes. All Wyde models have removable insoles, so you can replace them with your own orthotics. There is no traditional built-in arch support.

Wyde says most customers find their orthotics fit well thanks to the depth of the toe box, and that some customers use orthotics during a transition period and later switch back to the standard insole. If you plan to use an orthotic, bring it when you try the shoes on at home and check the fit with the orthotic in place.

Wyde also sells two insoles of its own. The Replacement Insole is for when the original insole has worn, and Wyde notes that insoles wear before shoes do. The Comfort Insole is a thicker version of the standard insole, for people who want more cushioning underfoot without giving up the wide toe box or the flat profile. Remember that insoles cannot be returned once they have been used.

How should new Wyde shoes feel at first?

They may feel more spacious than you expect. Wyde's size guide says this is intentional, because the shoes follow the natural shape of the foot.

If you are used to narrow shoes, the toe box may feel loose at first. Check the length rather than the width. Stand up and look for 0.3 to 1.0 cm of space in front of your longest toe.

Try the shoes indoors first. Wyde's return policy says a few minutes of walking around indoors on a clean floor is fine. Shoes that show visible wear, sole scuffs, creases, marks or signs of outdoor use may be refused as returns.

Try new shoes indoors on a clean floor and keep the original box until you have decided. Shoes need to come back unused, in original condition and in the original box.

How do size exchanges work?

In Sweden, the EU and the USA, size exchanges are free. You register the exchange in the returns portal, send the original pair back with a prepaid label, and Wyde ships the new size as soon as your return arrives.

Norway, Switzerland, the UK, Canada and other international markets do not have direct exchanges, because Wyde cannot generate prepaid labels there. Instead, place a new order in the size you want and register the original pair as a return. The new pair starts shipping straight away.

To change colour or model rather than size, place a new order and register the original as a return.

How do you start an exchange or a return?

  • Open the returns portal for your market. For the USA and Canada it is wydefootwear.com/a/returnzap. For Sweden, the EU, Norway, the UK, Switzerland and all other countries it is returns.yayloh.com/retailer/wydefootwear.
  • Enter the email address and order number you used when you ordered.
  • Pick "Exchange" for a different size, or "Return" for a refund.
  • Follow the instructions you receive by email.

You register the request in the portal yourself. You do not need to contact the support team first.

How do returns and refunds work?

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to register a return in the returns portal. The shoes must come back unused, in original condition and in the original box. This applies in all markets.

Once your return reaches Wyde's warehouse, Wyde inspects it and processes the refund within 3 to 5 business days. In Sweden during high season this can take up to 14 business days. The refund goes back to your original payment method, and your bank may take a few extra days to show it.

Some costs are deducted from a refund. Original outbound shipping is not refunded if you paid for it. Where a refund fee applies in your market, it is deducted. In markets where you pay for return shipping yourself, any unpaid border charges billed back to Wyde are also deducted.

What does a return cost in each market?

It depends on where your order was shipped. Sweden, the EU and the USA get a prepaid return label and pay a refund fee. Other markets arrange and pay for return shipping themselves, and Wyde charges no refund fee.

Which return rules apply in your market?

Market Prepaid return label Deducted from a refund Size exchanges
Sweden Yes, a PostNord QR code 100 SEK Free
EU Yes, sent by email €10 Free
USA Yes, sent by email At-cost shipping, around $10 Free
Norway No, you arrange and pay for shipping to Sweden No fee, but unpaid customs charges New order plus a return
Switzerland No, you arrange and pay for shipping to Sweden No fee, but unpaid customs charges New order plus a return
UK No, you arrange and pay for shipping No fee, but unpaid customs charges New order plus a return
Canada No, you ship to the warehouse in DeKalb, Illinois No fee, but unpaid customs charges New order plus a return
Other countries No, you arrange and pay for shipping No fee, but you cover border charges New order plus a return

In Sweden you take the PostNord QR code to any PostNord service point, where they scan it and print the label, so you do not need a printer. In the UK, Wyde suggests Royal Mail or UPS, and says you should normally be able to reclaim the import duties you paid via gov.uk.

Which items cannot be returned?

Toe separators cannot be returned at all, for hygiene reasons. A few other accessories can only be returned in their original state.

What are the hygiene rules for accessories?

  • Toe separators cannot be returned, whether the packaging is opened or not.
  • Anatomic Socks can be returned only if they are unworn and still sealed in their original packaging.
  • Insoles cannot be returned once they have been used.
  • All other items can be returned if they come back unused and in their original packaging.

What happens if a shoe arrives damaged or develops a fault?

Email support@wydefootwear.com as soon as possible with your order number, clear photos in good lighting and a detailed explanation of the issue. This applies to damaged shoes and to receiving the wrong item.

Wyde's warranty covers manufacturing defects and material faults under normal use. It does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from misuse, or shoes used outside their intended purpose, such as sneakers used on rough trails or in industrial settings. To make a claim, email support with your order number, photos of the issue and a short description of when and how it appeared. If it is a covered defect, Wyde sends a replacement or a refund.

How long is the warranty in each market?

  • Sweden: 3 years under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen).
  • EU: 2 years under EU consumer law.
  • Norway: 5 years under Forbrukerkjøpsloven, for goods meant to last significantly longer than 2 years. Shoes qualify.
  • Switzerland: 2 years from delivery.
  • UK: a 3-year Wyde brand warranty, plus your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  • USA, Canada and other international markets: a 2-year Wyde brand warranty.

How long does delivery take?

Orders placed before 14:00 CET are typically shipped the same day, though Wyde notes this may not be guaranteed during high-volume periods. Delivery times after that depend on the region.

What are the delivery times by region?

  • Sweden: 1 to 3 business days with PostNord.
  • Europe: 2 to 5 business days with UPS.
  • United Kingdom, Norway and Switzerland: 3 to 6 business days with UPS, with duties and fees paid in advance, so there is nothing to pay at delivery.
  • United States: 2 to 5 business days with UPS or USPS.
  • Canada: 5 to 10 business days with UPS or USPS.

Wyde ships from its warehouse in Habo, outside Jönköping in Sweden, and currently ships to 96 countries. If your country is not listed at checkout, contact support@wydefootwear.com.

Who can help if you are unsure about your size?

Wyde's support team can. Email support@wydefootwear.com or use the contact form on wydefootwear.com.

The team are licensed physiotherapists or foot function specialists. Before you buy, you can ask them whether the shoes will suit your feet, for example if you have hallux valgus or narrow heels. Include your foot length and the size you normally wear in other shoes.
