Where are Wyde shoes made?

The Nova, Maia, Maia Strap, Nilo, Chelsea and Norra are handmade in Portugal. The Soma is made in China.

Wyde's FAQ says its shoes come from two specialist partners: three family-run factories in Portugal and a long-standing partner in China for the Soma line, chosen for its expertise in suede and textile construction.

LWG stands for Leather Working Group. Its audit assesses how a tannery measures, controls and reports the impact of its manufacturing operations. The ratings are Gold, Silver, Bronze and Audited. The audit looks at the tannery, not at the finished shoe, and ratings are listed for the leather models. The rating differs by model and colour, as the Nova list above shows.

Anatomic Socks cost 175 kr (€15.95) in Beige/Blue, Beige/Green, Black/Gray, White/Navy and White/Grey. The ankle and embroidered styles also cost 175 kr, or €16 in the EU store.

The socks come in Small (36-38), Medium (39-42) and Large (43-47), and are made of 80% cotton, 17% nylon and 3% spandex. Wyde says: "Our socks at Wyde are foot-shaped too, so your toes have room to splay and grip naturally."

What do the accessories cost?

The accessories below cost from 75 kr (€7) for a pair of laces to 230 kr (€19) for the Cleaning Kit. They are listed separately from the shoes.

What does each accessory cost?

  • Laces, white or black: 75 kr (€7).
  • Replacement Insole: 130 kr (€12).
  • Comfort Insole: 130 kr (€12). Wyde describes it as a thicker version of its standard insole for more cushioning underfoot.
  • Freshener Inserts: 149 kr (€14).
  • Cleaning Kit: 230 kr (€19), with a cleaning solution, a double-sided brush and a water tray.

For the Nova and Soma, the product pages recommend a soft, dry cloth, or a damp cloth with a mild soap solution for tougher stains. They also suggest storing the shoes away from direct sunlight and rotating them with other pairs to extend their lifespan.

What do delivery and returns add to the price?

Delivery costs depend on the country and the size of the order. In Sweden, delivery costs 49 SEK and is free for orders of 499 SEK and above, which every shoe in the table exceeds.

In Germany, delivery costs €6.97 and is free from €165. In other EU countries in the UPS EURO Nations zone, such as Austria, Belgium and Croatia, it costs €6.97 and is free from €100. Wyde's shipping policy lists the rate for every other country.

Orders placed before 14:00 Swedish time on a business day usually ship the same day. Delivery in Sweden takes 1 to 3 business days with PostNord. Delivery in Germany and in the UPS EURO Nations zone takes 2 to 4 business days with UPS Standard.

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to register a return in the return portal. The shoes must come back unused, in their original condition and in the original box. Try them indoors on a clean floor.

For a refund, Wyde deducts 100 SEK in Sweden and €10 in the EU to cover the prepaid label and warehouse handling. In the USA it deducts the at-cost shipping, around $10. Size exchanges are free in Sweden, the EU and the USA. Once the return reaches the warehouse, the refund is processed within 3 to 5 business days.

How do you pick the right size before you order?

Choose your size by foot length. Wyde sells unisex full EU sizes from 36 to 47 and no half sizes. If you are between sizes, Wyde says to size up. You do not need to size up for width, because the wide toe box is standard on every model.

The Maia is the exception. For the Maia, Wyde recommends sizing down one size if you use any of its sneakers. For the full steps and the exchange process, read Wyde Footwear Sizing, Size Exchanges and Returns Explained.

How do you choose a Wyde model for your budget?

Start with the type of shoe, then compare the price and the materials listed for your colour. The Maia and Maia Strap are sandals, the Nilo is a slip-on, the Soma and Nova are sneakers, the Nova Patent Black is a dress shoe, and the Chelsea and Norra are boots.

Then check the cost of the whole order. Add socks or accessories if you want them, and check the delivery and return terms above. If you are unsure about a size, write to support@wydefootwear.com or use the contact form on wydefootwear.com. Wyde says its support staff are all trained foot specialists and/or physiotherapists.
